On my recent trip through Southeast Asia I have learned a lot of different things that I want to incorporate in my daily life. Things that I hope make me happier in the long run.
One of the things that I have learned is to take a step back and enjoy the current moment. Most of the time our lives are going so fast that we lose track of the important things like the present, but sometimes it’s really good to stand still and appreciate what is happening now.
This is also how this picture came to be. I was literally riding really fast on a scooter but when I saw this view I knew I had to stop and take it all in. I appreciated where I was and how fortunate I was to see this amazing view. I really enjoyed this moment, especially because this was an easy one to miss if I had driven off at full speed.
Sometimes in life it is really easy to ride your scooter really fast without looking at the present but only looking forward at your next destination.
Learning to appreciate the moment and take it all in is something I would like to do more often because sometimes I need to slow down to go fast again.
For what moments you would like to stop your scooter?
